United's bid rejected

Arsenal have rejected Manchester United's recent bid for want-away midfielder Samir Nasri.

According to reports, the reigning Barclays Premier League champions have been told that the Gunners will not let Nasri go for less than £25 million.
Although both clubs had agreed not to leak news of the bid out, it has become clear that United are looking the frontrunners to sign the Frenchman from the Gunners, who are already looking certain to have Cesc Fabregas depart their ranks to return to Barcelona this summer.
Nasri is expected to return to the Emirates for pre-season on Thursday, and reports indicate that the 24-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract, will tell Arsene Wenger of his decision to leave, despite the London club willing to offer him an improved contract.
Bids are also expected from Manchester City, Inter Milan and Chelsea, who have been monitoring the player's availability, and this could start a bidding war for the midfield maestro.
