Berbatov still in Ferguson's plans

Sir Alex Ferguson has reassured Dimitar Berbatov that the Bulgarian is still in his plans at Manchester United.

The striker has been demoralised at the club ever since being left out of the squad entirely in their 3-1 UEFA Champions League final defeat to Barcelona at Wembley in May.
This was despite the player finishing joint top-scorer in the Premier League with 20 goals last season.
Berbatov has also had less playing time, with Ferguson preferring to start with Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez instead.
However, according to reports, the Scot has spoken to the player, and he will be staying at Old Trafford, despite recent reports linking him to a move elsewhere.
The United manager said: "It was a difficult decision to leave him out of the final and I know he was disappointed."
"But we have had a long chat and he has accepted the decision and is looking forward to the new season."
